I am from Michigan, and decided to take a little trip south since our restaurants are still closed. I chose Shorty's based on the reviews and I'm glad I did! The food was phenomenal! The ribs were thick and meat was tinder. The sides (mac n cheese, beans, and fries) were very delicious. Perfect little get away and about 45 minutes from Detroit. If you like Famous Dave's, then you'll love this place. Definitely would recommend to a friend or family

All the meat's were on the dry side which is fine because their BBQ sauce is just the right balance of tang and sweet. Everything had a good smoked flavor, and it definitely hit the spot for my BBQ cravings. Their cornbread muffins are a good texture and are sweet which is how I like them, and their baked beans and coleslaw hit the spot.

It was delicious! Their complimentary cornbread muffins are heavenly. I had the bbq beef sandwich, potato salad and coleslaw. Everything was really good.

Drove from Detroit area to go here twice. I've had the Fried Walleye and the ribs; both were excellent! Great service and very friendly staff. Wouldn't hesitate to go there again

I just visited this restaurant for the first time a couple of days ago, and it was excellent! The service was wonderful, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was perfect! I had the "Ribs Plus One" combination, which provided me with some of the meaty-est wings I've ever eaten (plus the roasted chicken). The cornbread muffins were perfectly cooked and scrumptious (even though my diet suggests I shouldn't eat them)...
